Cuilleron Roussanne Les Vignes D'A COTE

Cuilleron Roussanne Les Vignes d’à Coté

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • This wine features a lovely, fruity length.
  • Organic, Eco-friendly farming. No insecticides are used.

Varietal Composition: 100% Roussanne

Elaboration: With vines located in the communes of Chavanay and Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône, this wine is called “Vignes d’à coté” because it is adjacent to the appellation area. The area features granitic soil.

Naturel cover cropping helps avoid erosion. No insecticides, with respect of soil and vine balance, are used. Treatments are limited (depending on weather and necessity) with a small amount of organic-only fertilizer applied. Precise control of vigor and yields is maintained through leaf-thinning and green harvesting to promote grape ripening. Disbudding is in the spring.

The grapes are hand-picked, then sorted and left to settle in the cellar. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with native yeasts is in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.

Cuilleron Roussanne Les Vignes d’à Coté is best drunk young, up to 3-4 years.

Tasting Notes: The mouth is fresh and pleasant, a lovely fruity length.
