Six Peaks Blanc de Noir

Six Peaks Blanc de Noir

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Estate grown Pinot Noir, harvested from the Laurel Vineyard.
  • Laurel Vineyard, located in Laurelwood AVA, sits at an elevation of 1000’ that yields grapes that are slow ripening and high in natural acidity that result in sparkling wines of great finesse and longevity.
  • Made 100% from old vine Coury and Pommard Pinot Noir clones originally planted in 1981. It is rare to find 40 year old vines in the Willamette Valley and they have yielded a refined focused sparkling wine.
  • Dosage is 8 grams sucrose/liter

Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir

Elaboration: Whole cluster harvesting followed by pressing in the traditional method. Fermentation is carried out in both neutral French oak barrels and stainless steel. PRODUCER BACKGROUND

John and Lynn Albin planted their first vineyard in 1981, the Laurel Vineyard located in Laurelwood AVA, OR. This estate vineyard sits atop Bald Peak, which offers a stunning panoramic view of five cascade mountains. Add up all of these peaks and you have 6 Peaks Winery. The Albin’s bring with them many decades of experience in viticulture and winemaking in the Pacific Northwest. Their second label, Lorelle, became an immediate hit when we first brought it in and we jumped at the chance to carry their original winery, Six Peaks Winery.
