Tonino Rosato Frizzante

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The vineyard is located in a hilly area in the province of Trapani in Western Sicily with calcareous soils. Low in alcohol at 8% vol.

Varietal Composition: Syrah and Zibibbo

Elaboration: The grapes are soft pressed at 59° F. The musts from each varietal are blended. Fermentation occurs in sealed, pressured tanks. Juice is allowed to ferment until the desired alcohol level is reached.

Tasting Notes: Bright rosé color, it has distinct aromas of flowers and red fruits. Sweet and light on the palate, it has a pleasant aromatic persistence. Serve chilled.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

Every year since 1875 Signor Tonino’s family and friends at the Villa Tonino in Sicily have been making wines firstly for themselves, and later for export overseas. The Tonino wines are the result of a blend of winemaking expertise and marketing know how. From a careful selection of grapes, today you can still enjoy the 3 versions of Tonino, White, Rosé and Red. All frizzante, with a touch of sweetness.
